You've heard that the village of Toftfirth is built near a Great stone wall, intact, with tower fortifications.. They are known for their local temple, and the settlement is unprotected. Order is maintained by Maisenta, a disloyal Healer and the laws are enforced by village militia.

Entering the village proper you notice the squalid conditions. The village folk here are very poor, living in mud-floored huts, or vermin-infested barn houses. They have little shelter from the elements, and live in a desperate and violent environment, in places rife with disease..

Along with the usual locals inside you meet:

During the attack, they discovered that they have the innate ability to command wild beasts (not monsters) (so long as it does not seriously risk the animals' lives).

The tavern offers a basic bed in a common room for 7cp a night.
