Emotional aspects of this social encounter allow hero to hide their core material and push it away to help survive the moment or worsen the healing.

Opponent is really on their game and either fully leaning into the hero's progress or really proving to be a dominating force, either not easily persuaded or very intimidating.

All other things considered, this social encounter helps the two parties grow closer to another a better bond or slight amends.

Taking into account the major pressures or decisions impacting the hero, they are working more toward redirecting for what you "want".
